This stunning couture vintage hallmarked red and black stripe Lanvan runway necklace is from the 70’s. The pendant has a pyramid shape with a rippled middle. The base of the pendant is a silver color. Glossy enameled stripes of black and red and framed by a thin gold line except where the ripple is and that is silver. The chain is made of silver tone barrels linked together with a c clasp. The chain is hooked to both sides of the pendant. The back of the pendant has a hallmark of Lanvin Paris. Pure joy.

Lanvan is a high end brand being the oldest operating French couture fashion house. Its Parisian elegance is also known for premium craftmanship.

Inspiration

Lackawanna is on the outskirts of Buffalo and close to our southtowns. We enjoy the beauty of the lake, hills and sunsets. Flowering trees and plants. When we see that first robin we know that hot summer days are not far off from our fresh spring air. Crisp fall air with a beautiful array of leaf color. And yes those chilly winter days ablazed with snow. Nature in all their glory with birds of every shape and color, bunnies, and deer being frequent visitors to our front and back yard.

All of the above play in my mind when choosing beads. Beads are curated from various shops and bead fairs in the region. My favorite, a shop in an artsy town, Rochester which is about 100 miles from us where they have sources throughout the world.
