Can’t decide which bracelet or necklace to wear? Why not wear both.

It is always nice to see varying lengths of necklaces cascading down the front of someone. Layering them in different depths and lengths create interest. They always look like they climbed out of a magazine. If your necklaces are all the same length you can buy extenders to make them an inch or two longer. Do your necklaces have lobster claw clasps? If so, try connecting two necklaces together by attaching one clasp to another necklace. Imagine a half silver and half brass necklace. Turn the necklace to offset the two colors. Connect same tone but different types. Let your creativity shine. It is alright to have a clasp showing in the front. There is no rule that it has to be to the back of your neck. Long necklaces can be made into two by just flipping it over your head one more time. Make the two layers the same length or give yourself a choker like necklace with the other one a little longer.

Arms adorned with several bracelets can be simple, stately or playful. As with necklaces the size of the bracelets might matter depending on the type and the look you are going for. We are not just talking about the size of the bracelet whether it has a chunky bead or a simple chain or leather cord but the length as well. Play around with sizes. Will your bracelets all fall together that they are unrecognizable or will they stack up nicely letting each of their personalities shine through. Different sizes and widths could become a little stopper for another bracelet to lay against rather than fall over. So when stacking them up on your arm play around with their positions on your arm. There is no limit to the amount of bracelets that are perfect. You have to find that sweet spot with different bracelet combinations.

You might find that a chain bracelet works wonderful with a pearl bracelet and at the same time looks perfect with the wood bead bracelet. Even more so that vintage bracelet probably will pair up nicely with a bohemian type bracelet. Don’t let colors stand in your way as sometimes that pop of purple beads takes on a whole new look against red beads or even green beads. Playful colors always are eye catching and cheer you and those around you.

When pairing necklaces and bracelets decide if you want just to have one color in a blend of shades. Be daring and try wearing a color that you never would have thought matched an outfit. It might just surprise you and add that pop of color that the outfit needs.

Don’t be afraid to blend classic with whimsical. Pearls and chains seem to go with everything. Vary your widths from chunky to slender. Maybe you have focal bead necklace or bracelet that has several colors in it. Take it to a new level and match several of the colors and maybe get daring and add a totally different color to the group.

Have you ever seen a garden that you didn’t like with a variety of colors, heights and leaves? Same thing with your jewelry. Create your signature style. It may take a few attempts but you will find it by experimenting with looks.

Those simple outfits will come to life. I bet you will find some copycats in your friends, co-workers and neighbors. Be happy as you get to adore the new look you created surrounding you.
